BRIGHTON
FIRE DISTRICT FIRST IN STATE TO PURCHASE
AEROLIFE’S SELF-ILLUMINATING SAFETY EQUIPMENT
ROCHESTER,
NY – (May 19, 2006) – The Brighton Fire District
is the first in New York State to purchase AeroLight™
wearable self-illuminating equipment from AeroLife Products,
Inc.
AeroLife
Products, which designs and develops the safety products,
has outfitted the fire department with the company’s
Guardian 2™ illuminated
safety belts. AeroLight™
self-illumination technology represents the next generation
of personal protective equipment. The company’s electro-luminescent
devices – embedded in such wearable items as safety
belts, sashes and helmet lights – emit a darkness-piercing
glow that is more visible from a greater distance than any
other light source, especially in inclement weather conditions.
“AeroLife
Products is delighted that the Brighton Fire District has
recognized the value of our AeroLight product portfolio,”
said David Orange, president, AeroLife Products Co. “Firefighters
will continue providing invaluable service to Brighton residents,
while our AeroLight self-illuminating products help make them
safer in the line of duty - since they’ll be more easily
seen in dark or bad weather situations.” Brighton Fire
Chief Vin Nolan adds, "Our firefighters must often perform
their duties in close proximity to moving traffic, and the
AeroLight will help reduce our risks while working in this
environment."
